Before making a decision

Confirm the exact formula and eligibility rules.

The UAF merit calculator estimates an aggregate only. It does not determine eligibility, quota, document verification, interview requirements, or the closing merit of a program.

Compare the selected formula with the official UAF prospectus and the notice for your exact program and admission cycle. Read the calculator disclaimer before relying on an estimate.

How to use the UAF merit calculator

Start with the formula published for your degree level and program. The calculator then converts each score into a percentage, applies the selected weight, and adds the contributions into one aggregate estimate.

Why formulas differ

Program, level, quota, and admission cycle can change the calculation.

A general UAF merit calculator cannot guarantee one permanent weighting for every applicant. The custom mode exists so you can reproduce the formula in the current notice instead of forcing an outdated template.

The estimate tells you

Your weighted aggregate under the selected formula.

It helps you check arithmetic, compare possible entry-test scores, and understand which component has the greatest effect.

The estimate cannot tell you

Whether you will receive admission.

Eligibility, quotas, document verification, available seats, applicant performance, and final closing merit remain official decisions.

Common questions

UAF merit calculator FAQ

Is there one UAF merit formula for every program?

No. Formula weights can differ by degree level, program, quota, and admission cycle. Confirm the current official notice for your application.

Does the calculated aggregate guarantee admission?

No. The result is an arithmetic estimate. Admission also depends on eligibility, available seats, applicant competition, quotas, and the official closing merit.

Can I enter a formula that is not included?

Yes. Use Custom mode to create weighted components that match the current prospectus or program notice.

What is the difference between aggregate and closing merit?

Your aggregate is your calculated score. Closing merit is the lowest score admitted in a specific list, program, quota, campus, and admission cycle.
